Phi Eco Salon has been Jacksonville Beach's safe space for all since 2014. We are proudly LGBTQIA+-affirming and gender-neutral, offering inclusive pricing and a welcoming environment for all gender identities, expressions, and orientations. Our team is trained to provide a judgment-free, affirming experience for every client — including our trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming neighbors. In Jacksonville Beach, every person deserves to feel beautiful in a space that truly sees them. We also welcome clients of all spiritual backgrounds and religious beliefs. Our mission has always been to be a refuge and community hub — not just a hair salon. Phi Eco Salon is Jacksonville Beach's answer to what a truly inclusive, community-driven beauty space can be.

Phi Eco Salon in Jacksonville Beach is not just a hair salon. At Phi, we strongly believe in individuality and wellness as a whole concept. We are a salon for misfits in every sense of the word. From our team to our impact, our goal has and always will be to uplift our Jacksonville community while aiming to be a leader in sustainability in the beauty industry.
Our mission is to provide a safe space for our neighbors and friends. We aim to support our local LGBTQIA+ community as allies and to be a refuge for our neighbors of varying religious beliefs. We want to uplift and empower the community to become a more accepting haven for all of us.
Phi Eco Salon in Jacksonville Beach, is primarily, an eco and organic salon. What exactly does that mean? First, we start by only using the most sustainably produced, organic and non-toxic, naturally harvested ingredients from brands like Oway and Arete. Next, we offer a fill per ounce retail method, packaged in glass on our products to reduce the environmental impact of packaging waste. After that, we recycle up to 95% of our generated waste using Terracycle Salon Recycling to prevent excess color and packing materials from ending up in landfills and waterways. All of our products are entirely vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, fragrance free, sulfate free, paraben free and are 100% naturally derived. Our products are also packaged in glass or aluminum and are endlessly recyclable and refillable to reduce our waste impact on the planet. Even your cut hair is recycled to make absorbent mats to clean up oil spills. Isn’t that incredible?
Why exactly are we going to all of these lengths? Well, let us tell you! At Phi, we are so passionate about being a force for good in our community. The beauty industry is one of the very top contenders for the most toxic and destructive industries to our planet. Every single team member at Phi wants to change that. We believe that feeling beautiful should only come at the cost of the service, not the planet. By partnering with Glo Recycling and the industries most sustainable brands, as well as hosting community wellness workshops and popup markets, we are working very hard to change the definition of beauty. Beauty begins inside us, and we want that to spiral out into the community, the nation and the world.
