A Certified Color, Curl, and Razor Cut Specialist and Oway Educator with over a decade of professional experience, Carissa specializes in organic hair color, balayage, and curly hair cuts for all textures from wavy to coily. She opened Phi Eco Salon in 2014 with a mission to create Northeast Florida's first fully sustainable, 100% organic hair salon.

Carissa is a Colorado native who ran out of gas in Jacksonville. She has wanted to be in hair since she was 13 when a hairstylist changed her life and Carissa wanted to do that for other people. Her plan was to go to New York City and hair was the way. However, her love of the beach and warm temperatures had her head south.
Carissa is an advanced stylist in the hair industry. She specializes in curly hair, hair loss recovery and free form coloring techniques, but her true passion is educating her guests on how to have care free hair. Carissa loves advanced razor cutting on long hair and feels short hair on women is sexy and classy. She loves working on redheads and Blondes and her go to product is the OWAY Curly Potion because it is the only product in Florida that gives humidity protection and soft touchable curls.
Carissa is constantly furthering her education by taking classes. She is a Certified Color, Curl, and Razor Cut Specialist and is also an Oway Educator. Carissa's goal for the salon is to get every team member to reach a maximum happiness with their career, no matter the direction that may take them. She is hoping that Phi forces the hair industry to change their way of thinking.
She lives in Jacksonville with her daughter and a rotating mix of farm animals. Carissa is more at peace when she is barefoot and will do anything possible to be outdoors. She loves random getaways and has a very odd obsession with gnomes.
